I sleep in the fetus, yearner and freefall positions. I actually cover everything except my head.

What does your sleep position reveal about your personality?
by Think About It inmine is the yearner position.. .
fetus position - a whopping 41% of participants sleep in this curled-up manner.
women are twice as likely to rest like this and it is listed as the most common position.

I think that is very funny Heartbreaker. I wish we had the gumption to escape service back in the day.

LOVE your ENEMIES: where Jesus goes wrong
by Terry inmatthew 5:44 "but i say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,.
luke 6:35 "but love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return.
the most radical teaching attributed to jesus has implications if followed.. an invading hoarde of mongols would not be resisted.. a christian husband would not only allow his wife and daughters to be raped; he would be compelled to forgive the rapist, pray for him and offer.

"Excusing their actions is one thing, but, loving them is yet another."
I agree here. I think it's easy to confuse pardoning the wrongdoer with loving them. To excuse or pardon their behavior is a completely different action than demonstrating love towards them.
"Excusing is to not hold accountable. Forgiving is to excuse, overlook, or make allowances for an injury. They do not differ substantially."
I agree again. The meanings are not so different as to matter. Debates about the bible are often reduced to semantics because supporters are trying to extract some sensibleness from words that are too often impractical and don't make sense.

I was on a bible study once and the householder had an autistic son. He was walking past the couch and barely glanced at me. Then he walked backwards and said curiously "hmmm". I thought he liked the pictures in the Live Forever book. Nope, he nuzzled his head into my breasts. I was gently trying to move him away but he was a strong little fella.................the sister I was with could not stop laughing and his mother was so embarrassed.
There was a really crabby sister who gossiped all the time in our congregation. None of us teens ever wanted to work with her b/c she was always trying to get into our "business" Well one day in service she slipped on a sloped driveway and literally tucked and rolled with her legs spread eagle. It was hilarious and all of us teenagers laughed so hard we could not get our composure. She just stood up and said "did you see that?" We were like "um, yeah sure did"
Another time I had my younger sister with me and it was her turn at the door. Well this woman came to the door and leaned sideways into our field of vision. She had hair like Don King and heavily painted red lips. My sister laughed so hard she couldn't talk. I had to contain myself and take over.

Why do humans always have to explain away what God/Jesus meant? They make a simple statement of a few words and then there are volumes of words by humans trying to understand how to apply it or how it works in our world. I think that if their ways/thoughts are superior to ours that a simple command would be easy to execute and would have results that make sense.

Even with all the communication gadgets they have, they still say "we miss you"
by truthseeker ini was shopping the other day and heard my name called.
it's the elder that visited us last year, the one who was very concerned that we celebrated birthdays.. with a guilty expression on his face, he apologised for not having had time to see us then told me "we miss you, when are you coming back?".
i said nothing.. i can't stand the phrase "we miss you" - what's wrong with these people?

Agonus - Jesus did encourage abandoning self defense - remember turn the other cheek?
One has to come up with all sorts of loopholes to make this command work in the real world. If we take what Jesus said at value, christians don't obey it very well because it doesn't make sense.

truthseeker ----- We absolutely hated that phrase too. In one of our last congos they were VERY needy and if we vacationed (even for a short weekend) when we came back we'd have to stomach, "been missing you" , "were you sick?" It drove us bananas. These people have no life.
At my uncle's funeral last year a few of the sisters made it a point to tell us how much "we all need each other". I was like "really? well if that's the case you wouldn't wait until you 'happen' to see me at a funeral" Not that I really care about them trying to contact me, but come on give me a break.
They don't really miss us they miss how our presence validates their choice to stay on the treadmill.
